Family is not about blood. It is about who is willing to hold your hand when you need it the most. M-CUSA is a family. We have our differences but at the end of the day we look out for one another. When a family member is in need, we are all in need. And when a family member wins, we win together. Family is the foundation of every nation. Without family there is no future. Ours is to develop, nurture and empower that future. The future is M-CUSA.
Going down the memory lane, I joined M-CUSA in early 2018 having been admitted to the Technical University of Kenya to study Chemical Engineering. I was absorbed into the front by the founders of this formidable family during the then TUK's elections in which we won with a great triumph. I have seen M-CUSA becoming what it is today. I have seen us live the dream of this very great family through charity, mentorship and other social related activities. I can say M-CUSA has been living its dream since its inception. The dream of M-CUSA is based on its pillars that focus on education, mentorship and empowerment. These are the core dreams and driving guides that the current society needs. These are core values we need so as to nurture leaders of this generation and generations of tomorrow. M-CUSA was, is and still remains the dream of Mount Kenya Region Tertiary Students now and even in the future. Let us keep supporting this great initiative, it will outlive us and it will serve those who will come after us. The driving force of M-CUSA is stronger than any individual. This was, is and will remain the future of Mount Kenya Region Students.
M-CUSA, an association deeply rooted in Mount Kenya, has effectively expanded its influence across the country, fostering unity among comrades. The operations of M-CUSA clearly demonstrate its ability to nurture and support young leaders in various domains. I am a living testament to this as I have acquired exceptional leadership skills under M-CUSA's guidance, leading me to become the President of Muranga Students Association (MUSA). I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the late Steve Chage, the founder, as well as the current National Chairman, Pharis Jane, and the entire M-CUSA fraternity for their invaluable contributions.
MCUSA is one of unique student association which have managed to bring together young leaders and comrades from different universities and colleges all over the country. Following a Kikuyu proverb ‘a sharp mind is advised’ Our National chairman Pharis Jane has led the association in the right direction through representation in National level debates about wellbeing of comrades. The association has kept the spirit of appreciating and learning the culture high to ensure there is future of the mountain.
